-PAT ALLEN, ART THERAPIST
Step into Rebecca's world at Cherry Tree, where art and healing intertwine to create a unique therapeutic experience. As a passionate Art Therapist, Rebecca brings a palette of creativity and empathy to her practice, specializing in working with neurodivergent children and youth.
Imagine a therapeutic space filled with art supplies of every kind—brushes, paints, pencils, and more—each waiting patiently for the eager hands
This is where Rebecca's magic unfolds. She understands that for many, especially those dealing with FASD, ADHD, Autism, historical trauma, grief, loss, or mood disorders, words can sometimes fall short. That's where art steps in, offering a bridge to emotions and experiences that might otherwise remain unexpressed.
In Rebecca's gentle presence, clients find a safe haven where judgment takes a back seat to creativity. "Every brushstroke, every sculpture, every creation is a step on your journey," Rebecca often says, encouraging her clients to explore at their own pace. Her approach isn't about crafting masterpieces; it's about using the creative process as a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery.
Rebecca's toolkit is as diverse as the clients she serves. From traditional art methods to innovative approaches like Walk and Talk therapy, she adapts her techniques to meet each individual's unique needs. Her professional values of honesty, kindness, empathy, and patience shine through in every session, creating an environment where growth and healing can flourish.
Outside the therapy room, Rebecca finds balance in her own life, cherishing moments with her family and watching her children grow. This personal experience enhances her understanding of the delicate balance many families navigate, especially those with neurodivergent members.
